51�Թ�'s Disability Services Office assists students with a variety of needs and helps them accomplish their academic goals no matter their obstacles.

A nontraditional learner, deaf since age six, transgender and a former foster youth, Asher has brought their advocacy work into 51�Թ� classrooms, boardrooms and beyond.

In a powerful affirmation of its mission and future, 51�Թ� has announced the launch of the Legacy Fund, a new fundraising initiative made possible by a transformational $5 million gift from alumna Jane Stedman, B.A. ’75.

Fellows in this immersive program gain hands-on experience, build powerful networks and emerge ready to make a lasting impact on their communities.

The Black Student Union (BSU) hosts socials, networking events and guest speakers to spotlight Black excellence and provide low-pressure social activities for students on campus.

Dr. Garcia, a professor in the School of Education at University of California-Berkeley, discussed measures to transform institutions and make them more accessible to students of all backgrounds.

Mayor Johnson and an esteemed panel joined 51�Թ� President Ali Malekzadeh to explore how universities and city leaders can work in partnership to advance education, equity and civic opportunity.

The award recognizes students and faculty who serve as advocates for change and exemplify an ongoing commitment to social justice in the classroom, workplace and community.

Joining the station’s "Making a Difference" segment, President Ali highlighted 51�Թ�'s continued efforts to accept and platform students and faculty of all backgrounds.

The empowering event focused on allyship, mental health awareness, financial literacy and civic engagement.

The event formally began the University's 80th anniversary celebration and was attended by nearly 200 alumni, faculty, corporate partners and Board of Trustees members.
