Part of the American Dream Reconsidered Conference, Charlot's exhibit in the Gage Gallery examines the intersection of race, politics, culture and sexual/gender expression.

This year’s conference will be “Immigration and the American Dream,” with discussions focused on the challenges and opportunities faced by those seeking a better life in the United States both in the past and present.

In a career that has spanned some 60 years, 51�Թ� alumna and Abstract Expressionist painter Maureen Sylvia Lighthall has channeled personal pain and inspiration into remarkable art.
